Biography Summary:

CMSgt Christopher Bowerfind is Joint Senior Enlisted Leader at Alaska National Guard Joint Force Headquarters, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He executes the intent of the Joint Force Headquarters Director of the Joint Staff and Alaska Command Deputy Commander in all enlisted matters related to disaster response and homeland defense in the state of Alaska. He also maintains operational capability as a Pararescue instructor and evaluator for the 212th Rescue Squadron, 176th Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

Chief Bowerfind enlisted as a Tactical Air Control Party Airman with the active-duty Air Force April 2000. After September 11th, 2001, he found himself deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq as a Special Forces Joint Terminal Attack Controller from 2003-2006. First stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington and then at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he was either training or deployed alongside the Army Special Forces. In 2007, he and his family left the active-duty Air Force and moved back to Alaska where Chief Bowerfind joined the 212th Rescue Squadron to continue serving as a Pararescueman with the Alaska Air National Guard. Prior to his current position, the chief was the Senior Enlisted Leader assigned to the 212th Rescue Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf- Richardson, Alaska.

Throughout his military career, Chief Bowerfind has completed numerous combat deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Djibouti, and Somalia in support of multiple Operations to include ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and OCTAVE SHIELD.
