Biography Summary:

Captain Christopher Bailey is an Air Force Rescue Helicopter Pilot assigned to the 210th Rescue Squadron, Joint-Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Captain Bailey is responsible for operating the HH-60G Pavehawk, both stateside and during global contingencies, in support of Combat Search & Rescue, Civilian SAR, and Humanitarian Relief Operations.

 

Captain Bailey grew up in Sunnyvale, California. He entered the US Air Force in 2006 and the Alaska Air National Guard in 2015. He has deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, and Jordan. In addition to many combat deployments, he has supported NASA space shuttle operations and instructed partner nations in the INDOPACOM AOR.

 

In 2023, Captain Bailey stepped back from active duty assignments, becoming a traditional guardsman, in order to pursue ownership of Snowshoe Lake Lodge in Nelchina, Alaska. Future goals are to support Preservation of Force and Family initiatives through aviation and wilderness experiences in Alaska.
